Big Orange. Big Ideas.
The University of Tennessee – Knoxville, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department (EEB), and the UT Herbarium (TENN) are accepting applications for Hesler Visiting Scholar Fellowships, a funding opportunity for visiting researchers doing herbarium-based research! The deadline to apply is 3 February 2023.
This fellowship is open to graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty, and independent researchers from any country — all are eligible! These fellowships provide opportunities for scientists to use collections at the University of Tennessee Herbarium to enhance and facilitate a specimen-based research project. Funds are available to be used for travel, housing, and other visit-related expenses while conducting research at the UT Herbarium. Applicants must have a letter of support from a UTK EEB affiliated sponsor. You can find the names and contact information for EEB faculty through the department website here: https://eeb.utk.edu/people-2/faculty/
Further description about the fellowship, guidelines, and directions for how to apply can be found at this link (https://eeb.utk.edu/resources/departmental-awards-and-scholarships/hesler-awards/) and through the application URL.
Please contact the TENN Collections Manager, Margaret Oliver (molive18[at]utk.edu), with any questions.
